Merit Pro is a school merit and points management app designed to help teachers track student achievements and encourage positive behaviour. This policy explains how we handle data within the app.

• Teacher name, email, and school affiliation (created by admin)
• Student name, grade, and division
• Points awarded or deducted with category and reason
• Leaderboard rankings and achievement data

• To display student progress and leaderboards within your school
• To generate monthly and yearly reports for teachers
• To share achievement cards with parents (opt-in, teacher-initiated)

All data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure.

Data is isolated per school — teachers and students can only access data belonging to their own school.

The student leaderboard (names, points, and ranks) may be accessible to parents via a read-only web link provided by the school.

Student data is retained as long as the school actively uses Merit Pro. Schools can request full deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

Merit Pro is used in school environments and may involve data of students under 13. We collect only the minimum data necessary (name, grade, points) and do not collect any sensitive personal information.
